Hi. My name is Tineke and I am single, 63 years young and a cancer survivor.
Illnesses like cancer give you time to reflect on life. It really hit me how fragile and short it really can be… and I decided that I wanted to concentrate my energies on living and engaging with the world around me.
I felt invisible for so long that I decided to do something about it. It began very simply: I hung up a sign in my bedroom reminding me that
“Every day there is a reason to dress up.”
… so I did! It felt amazing.
